Biolox Delta Ceramic Femoral Heads

Biolox® delta Ceramic Femoral Heads feature a unique oxide blend that allows for use with multiple Biomet hip products, including E-Poly™ HXLPE, M2a-Magnum™ Metal on Metal Articulation, Regenerex® Ringloc® + Modular Acetabular System and the Taperloc® Hip System.

Low Wear

  • Composed of aluminum oxide (approximately 75%), zirconium oxide, chromium oxide and other oxides1
  • 47% decrease in wear from 38mm CoCr heads on E-Poly™ HXLPE2
  • 56% decrease in wear on ArComXL® polyethylene when compared with cobalt-chrome ArComXL® polyethylene2

Intraoperative Flexibility

  • Can be used with all Biomet® Type I Taper hip stems
  • Four neck length options

Stability

  • Possible ROM of up to 137 degrees
  • 36 & 38mm head diameters provide for decreased risk of dislocation
